D.S meets Sonia, appeals for peace


Former PCC President D.Srinivas on Friday reiterated that the Congress-led UPA Government would address all the considerations of Seemandhra people while bifurcating andhra pradesh to carve out Telangana State.

After meeting Congress president Sonia Gandhi  speaking to reporters , Srinivas aforementioned that the Centre was conscious of the apprehensions expressed by the leaders of coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions.

He aforementioned that the Congress party would not do injustice with any of the regions. He also said that the main target would be equal development of both the States after seperation of Telangana.

Appealing the folks of both the regions to take care of peace, he aforementioned that the geographical bifurcation of state shouldn't divide the Telugu people and efforts should  be made to ease out prevailing tension.


Earlier, Srinivas briefed Sonia Gandhi concerning about political scenario within the State, particularly in view of current agitation in the Seemandhra region.
